Subspecies
Cuculus saturates (Sibley and Monroe 1990, 1993) has been split into Himalayan Cuckoo (Cuculus saturatus), Oriental Cuckoo (Cuculus optatus) and Sunda Cuckoo (Cuculus lepidus) following Payne (2005).
