Middle and upper strata of montane evergreen forest and its borders. From 750 - 1,600 m.

Brazil (B).

South-eastern Brazil from southern Bahia south to eastern Paran� and north-eastern Santa Catarina.

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010) and decreasing.

Status NT
Habitat destruction and degradation through expansion of pasture and cultivation, clearance and fires spreading from cultivated areas, are the main threats.
