Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest. From sea-level - 500 m.

Range (Guide)

Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago (E), Venezuela.

Introduced to Puerto Rico.

Eastern Panama through Colombia east to southern Venezuela, the Guianas and Brazil, and south to western and eastern Ecuador, eastern Peru and north-eastern Bolivia; formerly occurred on Trinidad, and apparently also in Paraguay and northern Argentina. Also listed for western Ecuador, where probably extinct.
