Highly vocal giving a repetitive, loud, four syllable call rendered as 'one more bottle', 'orange-pekoe' or 'kwer-kwah-kwah-kurh', the last syllable the lowest and longest.

None. Egg(s) laid in that of the foster parents. The most common species is Ashy Drongo (Dicrurus leucophaeus).
Subspecies
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
micropterus Gould, 1837 - Kashmir and Himalayan foothills south through India to Sri Lanka, and east through Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Thailand to eastern China, Mongolia, Korea and Russian Far East. Winters south to Andaman and Nicobar Is, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo and Philippines.
