Yellow-footed Gull (Larus livens) [XC153738]
by Richard E. Webster from Salton Sea - Rock Hill Trail, Imperial County, California, United States (flight call)
Subspecies
Until recently treated as a subspecies of Western Gull (Larus occidentalis), but differs in vocal repertoire, particularly its lower-pitched long call. Some authorities consider it more closely related to, and perhaps derived from, Kelp Gull (Larus dominicanus).
