Breeds in south-eastern Canada (extreme south-eastern Ontario) and in eastern USA from southern Great Lakes and southern New England southern patchily to eastern Oklahoma, Gulf of Mexico coast and northern Florida. Migrates to Mexico and Central America (primarily in east) and Caribbean.
