Habitat
Tempertae forest.
Canada (B), Mexico, St Pierre and Miquelon (B) (P), USA (B).
Southern Manitoba through Ontario and Quebec to New Brunswick and south-western Newfoundland, and south through Great Plains and eastern USA to east-central Texas, Gulf states and Florida. Winters in south-eastern USA, on Atlantic and Gulf coastal plains from southern Texas to southern Florida.
