Habitat
Broadleaved evergreen and dense primary lowland and hill forests and bamboo. From sea-level - 1,550 m.
Brunei Darussalam (B) (NB), Indonesia (B) (NB), Malaysia (B) (NB), Myanmar (B) (NB), Thailand (B) (NB).
Southern Burma and south-western Thailand through Peninsular Malaysia to Sumatra (and some smaller inshore islands) and Borneo.
 
Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010) and decreasing.
Status NT
Habitat destruction through logging and land conversion, trapping are the main threats.
