Dominican Republic, Haiti.
Hispaniola; erroneously recorded from Gonâve.

Subspecies
Forms a superspecies with Cuban Emerald (Chlorostilbon ricordii) and Puerto Rican Emerald (Chlorostilbon maugaeus), and all formerly separated in genus Riccordia.
