Habitat
Dry savanna, arable land. From sea-level - 1,900 m.

Range (Guide)

Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo [The Democratic Republic of the], Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania [United Republic of], Uganda.

Eritrea, Ethiopian Rift Valley and western highlands, southern and western Sudan, northern and north-eastern Zaire south through Uganda and Rwanda to south-eastern Zaire (R Niemba and upper R Lualaba), western Burundi, north-western Tanzania east to Mwanza, Serengeti and R Malagarasi, and western Kenya from Mt Elgon south to R Mara; also disjunctly in south-eastern Chad and northern Central African Republic (where possibly sympatric with Western Grey Plantain-eater (Crinifer piscator)).
