Subspecies
Relationships of genus uncertain. Has been considered, on grounds of DNA-DNA hybridization, to belong with the vangas in the family Vangidae, and also linked with the bush-shrikes in Malaconotidae.
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
caesia (Lesson, R, 1839) - Extreme southern Myanmar (southern Tenasserim), western and southern Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra and northern and north-western Borneo.
