Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland and montane moist forest. From 1,200 - 2,450 m.

Range (Guide)

Angola, Burundi, Congo [The Democratic Republic of the], Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania [United Republic of], Uganda, Zambia.

South-western Uganda south through Rift Valley to south-western Tanzania, Malawi and northern Mozambique (Tete District) and west to southern DRCongo, northern Zambia and central Angola; also northern Tanzania (Bugarama and Kifunzo).

Subspecies
No subspecies.

Forms a superspecies with African Blue-Flycatcher (Elminia longicauda). The two have been placed in a genus Errannornis, but differences considered insufficient to merit generic separation.
