Nest
Cup-shaped, composed of thin strips of bark and dried grasses, usually placed in a bushy tree.

Eggs (Guide)
2; smooth, slightly lustrous, white to pale flesh with freckles of red and purple, particularly at the larger end; oval; about 22 x 17 mm. Incubation: about 15 days; by female.

Young
Naked at hatching. Fledge in about 13 - 14 days.

Subspecies
No subspecies.

Similar Species
Lewin's Honeyeater (Meliphaga lewinii) which has a longer, thinner, whitish gape-streak and also has a yellow ear patch.
