Habitat
Subtropical and tropical dry shrubland. From sea-level - 1,500 m.
Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay (NB).
Breeds in central Argentina (San Luis, southern Mendoza, La Pampa, southern Buenos Aires, Río Negro); migrates north to as far as central Bolivia (western Santa Cruz), western Paraguay and extreme south-eastern Brazil (western Rio Grande do Sul).
