Subspecies
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
brunnescens Todd, 1932 - Eastern Colombia (middle Magdalena Valley).
viridis (Müller, 1776) - Southern Venezuela, through the Guianas and Brazil, south-west to eastern Ecuador, eastern Peru and extreme northern Bolivia (Beni).
