Subspecies
The following 3 subspecies are recognised:

bambla (Boddaert, 1783) - Extreme eastern Venezuela (eastern Bol��var), the Guianas and northern Brazil (Roraima east to Amap�).
caurensis von Berlepsch & Hartert, 1902 - Southern and south-eastern Venezuela (southern Bol��var, Amazonas) and extreme eastern Colombia.
albigularis (Sclater, PL, 1858) - Eastern Ecuador (Sucumb��os, Napo, Pastaza), eastern Peru and north-western Brazil (NAmazonas).
