Subspecies
No subspecies.
May form a superspecies with Javan Myna (Acridotheres javanicus) and often considered conspecific. Has also been considered conspecific with Jungle Myna (Acridotheres fuscus). Proposed subspecies infuscatus (described from lower R Chindwin, in western Myanmar) regarded as inseparable from individuals in rest of species' range.
