Habitat
Inland wetlands, including freshwater marshes and pools.

Range (Guide)
Mexico (E) (B).

Lerma marshlands (Mexico) and possibly in Xochimilco in the Valley of Mexico.
 
Status EX
Last recorded in 1910, and presumably became extinct soon after. Extinction was due to drainage of its habitat.
