Habits
Family groups of about nine during the breeding season and foraging groups of up to forty during the non-breeding season.
Food
Omnivorous. Mainly carrion and seabird eggs.

Subspecies
No subspecies.
Genus considered most closely related to, and putatively derived from, mainland Long-tailed Mockingbird (Mimus longicaudatus). Forms a superspecies with Charles Mockingbird (Mimus trifasciatus), San Cristobal Mockingbird (Mimus melanotis) and Galapagos Mockingbird (Mimus parvulus) and all previously considered conspecific.
