Subspecies
May form a superspecies with Grey Sibia (Heterophasia gracilis).
The following 3 subspecies are recognised:
capistrata (Vigors, 1831) - North-eastern Pakistan (Murree Hills) eastern in western Himalayas to extreme western Nepal.
nigriceps (Hodgson, 1839) - Nepal (except extreme western and east) and adjacent south-western China (southern Xizang).
bayleyi (Kinnear, 1939) - Eastern Nepal east to Bhutan and north-eastern India (western Arunachal Pradesh) and southern China (Chumbi Valley, in southern Xizang).
