Subtropical and tropical lowland seasonally wet / flooded grassland. From sea-level - 500 m.
Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, Suriname (B), Venezuela.
Eastern Colombia, Venezuela and Guyana; Amazonian Brazil to north-western Mato Grosso.
 
Population
Estimated population is 10,000 - 25,000 (2010).
