Subspecies
Affinities uncertain.

The following 3 subspecies are recognised:

siju (d'Orbigny, 1839) - Cuba.
vittatum Ridgway, 1914 - I of Pines.
turquinense Garrido, 2002 - Pico Turquino, Santiago de Cuba (south-eastern Cuba).
