Vagrant to Antigua And Barbuda, Jamaica, United Kingdom.

Sometimes placed in a separate genus, Melodivireo. Most closely related to Eastern Warbling-Vireo (Vireo gilvus). One report of hybridization with Red-eyed Vireo (Vireo olivaceus) in south-eastern Canada (Quebec).
