Subspecies
Relationships uncertain.

The following 2 subspecies are recognised:

eisenmanni Stiles, 1985 - Northern Costa Rica (Cordillera de Guanacaste).
insignis Cabanis & Heine, 1860 - North-central Costa Rica (Cordillera de Tilarán) south to extreme western Panama.
