Pale-legged Warbler (Myiothlypis signata) [XC453703]
by Rolf A. de By from Wayqecha Research Station, Manu Road, Peru (call, song)
Subspecies
Closely related to Citrine Warbler (Myiothlypis luteoviridis) and Black-crested Warbler (Myiothlypis nigrocristata). A specimen record from Colombia (at 3400 m) may represent an additional, undescribed, subspecies, but the specimen apparently resembles nominate subspecies of Citrine Warbler (Myiothlypis luteoviridis) and may belong with that species.
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
signata Berlepsch and Stolzmann, 1906 - Andes of central Peru (Junín to Cuzco).
flavovirens (Todd, 1929) - Andes from southern Peru south to extreme northern Argentina.
