Habitat
Subtropical and tropical moist montane forest. From 800 - 2,400 m.

Range (Guide)

Colombia (P), Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela.

Western Venezuela and north-eastern Colombia south through Ecuador to north-western Peru.

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010).

Status LC
Trapping for the cage-bird trade and persecution as an agricultural pest are the main threats.
