Relationships uncertain, but no evidence for close affinities to Blyth's Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus reguloides), Western Crowned-Warbler (Phylloscopus occipitalis) or White-tailed Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus intensior) "complexes".
