Subspecies
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
hodgsoni (Moore, F, 1854) - Central and eastern Himalayas east to north-eastern India (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam), western and northern Myanmar, southern China (south-eastern Xizang, western and south-eastern Yunnan), north-western Thailand and central Indochina.
sondaica (Robinson & Kloss, 1923) - Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra and northern Borneo.
