Subspecies
Species name sometimes erroneously listed as "macgregoriae".

The following 2 subspecies are recognised:

macgrigoriae (Burton, 1836) - Western and central Himalayas.
signata (McClelland, 1840) - Eastern Himalayas east to north-eastern India (Assam and Arunachal Pradesh south to Mizoram), northern and eastern Myanmar, southern China (south-eastern Xizang and western and southern Yunnan east to southern Guangxi), northern and western Thailand and northern and central Indochina.
