Habitat
Primary forest, and only in areas where the understorey is relatively open. From 950 - 1,450 m.

Range (Guide)

Cameroon (B).

Extreme south-eastern Nigeria (north-eastern Cross River National Park) and uplands of south-western Cameroon.

Population
Estimated population is 50 - 249 (2010) and decreasing.

Status EN
Forest habitat destruction and degradation through clearing for farmland, is the main threat.

Usually singly or in pairs.

Voice
Song is a loud, babbler-like chatter 'thec-thec, kh-kh-kh' ending in a series of 'tchrraa-tchrraa-tchrraa'.

Similar Species
