Vagrant to Falkland Islands (Malvinas).
South-eastern Peru (Cuzco), and from eastern Bolivia (southern from north-eastern Cochabamba and Santa Cruz) and southern Brazil (southern from Mato Grosso, southern Goiás and Minas Gerais) south to northern Argentina (south to Mendoza and Buenos Aires) and Uruguay; also northern South America in non-breeding season.
