Habitat
Subtropical and tropical moist lowland forest, subtropical and tropical dry grassland and shrubland, dry savanna. From sea-level - 2,100 m.
Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay (B).
Southern and eastern Bolivia and southern Brazil south to central and eastern Argentina. Non-breeding also north to southern Peru and northern (non-Amazonian) Brazil, casually to central Chile.
