Habitat
Low acacia woodlands and shrublands in arid zones, including those dominated by mulga. Also in well vegetated sandhills, and gardens.
Arid and semi-arid inland Australia: widely scattered records from W
Western Australia east to central and southern Northern Territory (south of 17° south)
and, rarely, northern South Australia.

Nest
A frail structure, composed of fiber, loosely wooven and bound with cobweb, placed near the extremity of a slender branch within 2 m of the ground.

2; white, dotted red-brown, particularly at the larger end; tapered-oval; about 17 x 12 mm. Incubation: by both sexes.
Young
Altricial, nidicolous. Tended by both parents.
