Subspecies
Proposed subspecies tuta (described from near Mwanza, in Tanzania) synonymized with nominate.
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
monacha (Sharpe, 1890) - Southern Ivory Coast eastern along coast to western Cameroon, also riverine Gabon, PRCongo and western and southern DRCongo, north-western Angola and north-western Zambia.
