Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest. Also, subtropical and tropical lowland moist shrubland and swamp forest.
Northern Mariana Islands (B).
Tinian in the Northern Mariana Islands (USA).
 
Population
Estimated population is 55,000 (2010) and decreasing.
Status VU
Habitat destruction was the main threat. Weather, fire and increased military activity are current threats.

Voice
A loud, raspy scold and short two-note call that sounds like a dog's squeaky toy. Song is a loudly whistled 'tee-tee-wheeo'.
