Estimated population is 2,500 - 9,999 (2010) and stable.
Status EN
Habitat destruction through clearing for agriculture and grazing by goats are the main threats.

Food
Mainly insects, but also spiders and earthworms.
Voice
Song is three sharp, clear, whistled notes (last occasionally omitted), 'wirt, wiirt weert'. A higher pitched, sharp 'SEEleee' uttered in aggression.
