albigularis (Sharpe, 1881) - South-western Senegal, and Sierra Leone and south-eastern Guinea east through central Nigeria to south-western Central African Republic and south to southern PRCongo. Also north-west, western and eastern DRCongo (Duma, lower R Congo at Kunungu, and eastern from Sankuru and Kasai), south-eastern Central African Republic, extreme southern Sudan, and north-west, western and central Uganda.
viridiceps Rand, 1955 - North-western Angola (Cuanza Norte, northern Cuanza Sul). Considered by some authors to be a distinct species, Angola Greenbul (Phyllastrephus viridiceps).
