Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland dry grassland, temperate grassland. Also, subtropical and tropical lowland dry shrubland, temperate shrubland. From sea-level - 1,000 m.
Argentina, Chile.
Southern Argentina (southern Santa Cruz south to northern Tierra del Fuego) and southern Chile; western and southern Argentina in non-breeding season.
