Habitat
Lowland and montane humid forest and forest borders, including forest dominated by Araucaria. From sea-level - 1,800 m.

Range (Guide)

Argentina (B), Brazil (B), Paraguay (B).

South-eastern Brazil (southern Mato Grosso east to Rio de Janeiro, south to Rio Grande do Sul), eastern Paraguay and north-eastern Argentina (Misiones).

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010) and decreasing.

Status NT
Habitat destruction and degradation through agricultural conversion, deforestation for mining and plantation production, urbanisation, industrialisation, agricultural expansion, colonisation and associated road-building, are the main threats.
