Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest, dry forest. From 500 - 2,000 m.
Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela.
Vagrant to Trinidad and Tobago.
Breeds on eastern slope of Andes in southern Bolivia (southern from western Santa Cruz) and north-western Argentina. Winters in lowlands north to northern Venezuela.

Estimated population is unknown (2010).
