Range (Guide)

Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru.

South-eastern Colombia (Putumayo, Vaup�s, Guain��a), eastern Ecuador, eastern Peru and western Brazil (R Juru�).

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010).

Subspecies
Forms a superspecies with Bronzy Jacamar (Galbula leucogastra). Sometimes regarded as conspecific, but geographical isolation and apparently stable morphological differences support treatment as separate species.
