Habitat
Non-flooded mature forest. Seasonally flooded habitat and open areas when breeding.

Range (Guide)

Belize (B) (NB), Guatemala (B) (NB), Mexico (B) (NB).

Central America, in Yucat�n Peninsula; from northern Belize west to eastern Chiapas (Mexico), and south to northern Pet�n (Guatemala).

Population
Estimated population is 20,000 - 49,999 (2010).

Status NT
Habitat fragmentation through large-scale clear-cutting and conversion to agriculture, hunting are the main threats.
