Subspecies
Phylloscopus reguloides (Sibley and Monroe 1990, 1993) has been split into Blyth's Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus reguloides), Claudia's Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus claudiae) and Hartert's Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus goodsoni) following Olsson et al. (2005).
Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Blyth's Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus reguloides).
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
fokiensis Hartert, 1917 - Breeds south-eastern China (western Hubei, Guizhou and Guangxi east to Anhui and Fujian). Non-breeding southern China (Yunnan) and perhaps also Vietnam. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Blyth's Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus reguloides).
goodsoni E. Hartert, 1910 - South-eastern China. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Blyth's Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus reguloides).
