Broadleaf evergreen forest, mixed-dipterocarp forest, secondary growth and forest edges. From lowlands - 1,830 m. Also luxuriant gardens and cultivation, peatswamp forest and overgrown plantations.

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010) and decreasing.
Status NT
Destruction of forests due to illegal logging, fires and habitat fragmentation are the main threats.

Cup-shaped composed of woven fibers or sticks bound together with vines located in the fork of an outer branch of a tree about 6 m above the ground.
