Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland and montane moist forest, mangroves. From sea-level - 1,400 m.
Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China (mainland), India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam.
Sri Lanka, India (west to northern Uttar Pradesh and south-eastern Gujarat), southern Nepal and southern Bhutan to Myanmar, south-central China (south-western Yunnan), north-central and western Thailand (south to Kaeng Krachan) and southern Indochina.

Estimated population is unknown (2010).
