Subspecies
The following 3 subspecies are recognised:
- delamerei (Shelley, 1903) - Highlands of central Kenya.
- delacouri Wolters, 1953 - Southern DRCongo, southern Angola and western and north-eastern Zambia.
- progne (Boddaert, 1783) - South-eastern Botswana, eastern South Africa, western Swaziland and Lesotho.
