Breeds in south-eastern Canada (from south-eastern Manitoba, southern Ontario and south-western Quebec) southern in USA to central Texas and northern Florida. Migrates to Mexico (southern from southern Veracruz and eastern Oaxaca) southern throughout most of Central America to northern Colombia and Venezuela. Winters also New Providence and possibly other islands in Bahamas, Cuba (including I of Pines), and sporadically throughout northern Caribbean.
