Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest. Also, marshes, rivers.

Range (Guide)

Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, Venezuela.

East of Andes, from Colombia, Venezuela and the Guianas south to Ecuador, Peru, northern and central Brazil and Bolivia.

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010).

Habits
Gregarious. Usually observed clambering among branches of trees. Reluctant to flush.

Food
Herbivorous. Leaves and fruit.

Voice
Noisy. Calls include croaks, groans, grunts, hisses.
