How Do I Obtain Authorization to Enter the Dry Creek (St Kilda) Saltfields (SA)? - updated June, 2009

As of June 2009 the conditions on entry to the Dry Creek (St Kilda) Saltfields has changed. Complete details of the new procedure is outlined in the Microsoft Word Document file that you can download using the link below.

A map, with a grid, is available for download from Birdpedia (just go to the Dry Creek Saltfields birding site entry in the Reserves list) for registered members. The grid makes reporting your sightings easier.

The gate to enter the saltfields (for birding) is on Radar Road, St Kilda (NOT Dry Creek) - about 20 - 25 minutes by car from the office.

Hope this information will be of assistance for all seeking entry to one of the best places within 30 minutes of the Adelaide CBD to see waders.
