Egypt, Israel (B), Jordan (B) (NB), Oman (B), Palestinian Authority Territories (B), Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (B), Yemen (B).

Subspecies
Individuals of this species observed from eastern Yemen to southern Oman apparently not yet assigned to subspecies.
The following 3 subspecies are recognised:
- squamiceps (Cretzschmar, 1827) - Extreme north-eastern Egypt (Sinai), southern Israel, and south-western Jordan south to central Saudi Arabia.
- yemensis Neumann, 1904 - South-western Saudi Arabia and western Yemen.
- muscatensis (Meyer de Schauensee & Ripley, 1953) - Eastern United Arab Emirates and northern Oman.
